Question Mark How do I know if I am eligible for help?

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Your business will be located in Sussex or Kent*
  • You'll need to produce a business plan that works!
    Don't worry, we can help with this at no extra cost.
  • You'll need to produce evidence that you have already been refused the loan by at least one mainstream lender - for example a bank or building society.

If you are intending to start a new business then you would be expected, if at all possible, to put some money into the new business yourself - though this may not be essential.

You'll need to work with a business mentor and provide us with regular information about your business for the duration of your business loan - this helps us ensure that your business is progressing in the right way, this service is provided free of charge.
